angol tolmács, hungarian interpreter

About me

My name is Hajna Keszthelyi, and I work as an English – Hungarian interpreter, facilitating clear and effective communication at meetings, conferences, and online events.

I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary. I lived in the United Kingdom for ten years between 1999 and 2009. I travelled extensively throughout England, spent significant time in Ireland, and developed close ties with an Indian community. This culturally rich experience equipped me with the ability to understand and navigate a wide range of English accents and dialects with confidence. During that period, English became second nature to me and during visits to Hungary and after moving back permanently, I was asked to interpret more and more.

Over the years, I have provided interpreting for numerous lectures and online events, alongside my work — initially on a voluntary basis, and later alongside my work as an entrepreneur.

After two decades, I chose to pursue interpreting as a profession. I obtained my English Hungarian interpreter and translator certification from the University of Debrecen.

Since then, I have interpreted at business negotiations, factory tours, academic lectures, consultations — and once even at the Parliament of India.

I consider it essential not only to translate words accurately but also to faithfully convey the speaker’s tone and intent, serving as a true bridge between them and their audience.
